Our First Wedding Anniversary!
by kimmi on Nov.04, 2009, under Family Fun
Well we have celebrated our first wedding anniversary, and it was WONDERFUL! I feel very fortunate to have met and married such a wonderful, loving, caring man. We had a great weekend, we had a blast on Saturday night (Halloween), Zed dressed up as a scarecrow, and sat on the front porch with the pumpkin and the lil trick or treaters LOVED him! It was so cute. He did manage to scare a few kids, but he was very kind to the lil itty bitty ones! We had lots of kids too, probably 30 or more. Then Sunday we had a wonderful morning got some lovely cards from our family (in the US and AU) and some lovely messages from friends and family. Mom came and picked nana up for the day so we could have some time to ourselves. We went to dinner at mom & dads at 4pm and were welcomed by the most lovely surprise! They had turned their house into “Chez Flaussies” for the evening. There was a adorable little table set for two in the living room, the fireplace was lit (well the little log that holds about 12 tea lights was lit, its still WAY to warm here for a real fire, but it was a nice touch), good dishes, wine glasses, and we were served by the “Chez Flaussies” staff. Nana was the Matre D (I am sure my wonderful husband will correct that if I spelled it wrong LOL), mom was the waitress, and of course my dad was Chef Bob! We had home-made french onion soup with the bread and delicious cheese, steak, baked potatoes with sour cream and fresh chives from “Chez Flaussies” herb garden, Black Berry merlot wine, and some lovely starters to the meal, relish tray, some smoked meats. We had such a good time, and so much love and thought went into it, and it meant even more because I know how much love Zed and I put into things and to see our family go to the effort to make our evening a memorable one, was just amazing. I will have Zed post some photos later so everyone can see, it was truly magical, and our anniversary was amazing.

YaaaaaaaaaaaaaaY “Card Production Ordered”
by kimmi on Jul.25, 2009, under Information, News
This has been the best week ever! As I see my wonderful husband has already posted about how excited we are about the immigration process being done for now. It has been such a smooth ride for us, we feel very fortunate that all has gone so well, so smooth and so fast! I am so proud of him and how strong he has been through this process, he has been my rock! I love him with all my heart, and am so glad to know that he is here to stay, we can travel when we are ready to travel, and hopefully this will also make getting work easier for him being a permanent resident! I also want to thank both of our families for all their love and support because without them, we could never have gotten this far. We are very lucky to have each other and the support of our family.
Awesome News
by Zed on Jul.21, 2009, under News
We just received the most awesome news since I have come to the USA.
It has been 139 days since we filled our immigration papers and I have been granted permanent residency status in the USA and my Greencard has been ordered, should receive it in the mail shortly.
Our immigration interview went really well yesterday and all the staff there were fabulous and very friendly. The whole immigration process has been very smooth for us and couldn’t have done it without my superwife’s help. The lady that interviewed us was very nice and laughed and joked around with us and made us feel very good about the whole ordeal.
We are both very glad the process is over for now, we don’t have to do anything now for the next year and a half. After that time I can apply to have any conditions lifted on my residency status.
What this all means for us:
- If we were to travel back to Australia or visit another country I am automatically granted access to re-enter the USA.
- If I were stupid enough to do something silly in USA I would no longer be deported back to Australia.
- I have a much higher chance of finding employment being that I am now a permanent resident of USA.
Great Function
by Zed on Jun.23, 2009, under News
Had to cater for a function yesterday evening for 50 people. I went super smooth and my wife Kimmi was such a huge help to me. Everyone raved about the food which is the main thing, very happy customers, very happy organizer, lots of compliments. I utilized the KISS method.

I didn’t get to take any photos which I had hoped to do, was too busy making sure everything went smooth.
