We had a lovely time last weekend.
Bobby, His Brother Pat, Pat’s son-in-law Eric and I all went camping on an Island in the Indian River and had heaps of fun. We left Friday and came home Monday afternoon so we could have dinner with the family. Lots of fishing to be had but not too many fish caught, enough to eat though.

Sat lunch: Salami bagels, Cajun boiled peanuts, Smoked baby mullet
Sat Night: Chicken, onion & potato kebabs, Chicken legs terryaki, BBQ quail

Sun Night: Fish Soup
Monday Morn: Coffee
Monday Evening: Corned Beef and Braised vegetable, Asparagus with Bearnaise Sauce

A panormaic of the Island

I had an awesome time this Memorial Weekend just gone. It was a beautiful island we went camping on just off the coast of Florida near Mims. There was heaps of fishing to be done and lots of drinking and fun times had by all. Kimmi’s father (Bobby) took me there and Bobby’s brother Pat came too they go every year Memorial weekend. Sunday, Pat’s Son-In-Law Eric came out for the day along with Eric’s son Bradley. We drove to Mims and boated out to the island. We left very early Friday Morning and got back home Monday morning around 10-11am.

The first night there was a loo loo of a storm but we managed to stay dry mostly. The wind howled and pissed down rain nearly all the first day but we had fun all the same, heaps fun. Setting up a tarp in the wind was an effort but it kept us dry while we drank and laughed. The storm cam from all four directions of the compass in a very short period of time.

Bobby did the cooking with my help and supervision of cause, we both love to cook a real lot.

Howdy folks,

I am going camping/fishing for 4 days this Memorial Weekend, it’s a ‘Boys’ wekend so i’m sure we will get in all sorts of strife. No doubt I will have plenty of pics when we get back Monday night or Tuesday morning, that is if i have any battery power left in either of my phones to take pics. There is always the possiblity that I will upload them here while i’m there, battery power permiting. Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend as I am certain I will. I will miss my wife terrible as we have not spent a night apart for the eight months I have been here, it will be a struggle but I will have plenty to keep me ocupied.

Verry Pretty Clouds

Went for a walk to the store today to buy some Easter Egg Grass and more Easter Egg chocolate and saw the most amazing clouds in the sky with pretty green, orange and red streaks though the sky. Looked great, the vapour trails are just from planes, we live close to Orlando Internation Airport.

Was born this week, we watched it grow from a little bitty
catterpillar. They lay their eggs on the milkweed in the backyard. The
plant it is on is Lantana, a native plant here but an uncontrollable
weed covering over 4 million hectares in Australia.
