Awesome News
by Zed on Jul.21, 2009, under News
We just received the most awesome news since I have come to the USA.
It has been 139 days since we filled our immigration papers and I have been granted permanent residency status in the USA and my Greencard has been ordered, should receive it in the mail shortly.
Our immigration interview went really well yesterday and all the staff there were fabulous and very friendly. The whole immigration process has been very smooth for us and couldn’t have done it without my superwife’s help. The lady that interviewed us was very nice and laughed and joked around with us and made us feel very good about the whole ordeal.
We are both very glad the process is over for now, we don’t have to do anything now for the next year and a half. After that time I can apply to have any conditions lifted on my residency status.
What this all means for us:
- If we were to travel back to Australia or visit another country I am automatically granted access to re-enter the USA.
- If I were stupid enough to do something silly in USA I would no longer be deported back to Australia.
- I have a much higher chance of finding employment being that I am now a permanent resident of USA.
Great Function
by Zed on Jun.23, 2009, under News
Had to cater for a function yesterday evening for 50 people. I went super smooth and my wife Kimmi was such a huge help to me. Everyone raved about the food which is the main thing, very happy customers, very happy organizer, lots of compliments. I utilized the KISS method.
===========Menu=============
Spaghetti Marinara with Meatballs
Fettuccine Chicken Alfredo
Garlic & Herb Bread
Chocolate Mousse with Fresh Strawberries and Blueberries.
I didn’t get to take any photos which I had hoped to do, was too busy making sure everything went smooth.
Another Fun Weekend
by Zed on Jun.01, 2009, under Family Fun, News, Pictures
We all went to play mini golf this Saturday just passed and had a wonderful time. The place is called ‘Congo River Mini Golf‘ and is such a beautiful place and very pretty. It was a very very hot day and after golf we all headed off to ‘Steak ‘N Shake‘ for burgers and milkshakes, they do make very nice burgers and milkshakes (thick ones too). We played some moonlight bowling on the wii and stayed the night at Pam & Bobby’s. Sunday was just as hot so we lazed about the pool and swam to cool off until dinner was ready. Bobby did a terrific job as usual, he is getting to be a better cook all the time and really does enjoy it too. You can taste the love he puts into his food! We had BBQ ribs, BBQ quail, BBQ chicken wings, beans and fresh corn. Of cause I got to play with the electronic fly zapper tennis racket, it takes 2 x AA batteries and produces 15,000 Volts of bug zapping power, oh and by the way, It hurts like hell if you ACCIDENTALLY touch it. My younger brother Evan had one confiscated by customs coming into Australia.
Found a new Critter in the Backyard
by Zed on Jun.01, 2009, under News, Pictures
Found this pretty Black Snake in the backyard last Friday while out walking the dog. Nana wanted me to WHACK it but I said “No it’s not whacking day”. They help to keep down the rodents, It didn’t seem to mind me getting close to take a pic. He was about 4 or 5 foot long.
Had An Awesome Long Weekend
by Zed on May.26, 2009, under News, Pictures, Videos
I had an awesome time this Memorial Weekend just gone. It was a beautiful island we went camping on just off the coast of Florida near Mims. There was heaps of fishing to be done and lots of drinking and fun times had by all. Kimmi’s father (Bobby) took me there and Bobby’s brother Pat came too they go every year Memorial weekend. Sunday, Pat’s Son-In-Law Eric came out for the day along with Eric’s son Bradley. We drove to Mims and boated out to the island. We left very early Friday Morning and got back home Monday morning around 10-11am.
The first night there was a loo loo of a storm but we managed to stay dry mostly. The wind howled and pissed down rain nearly all the first day but we had fun all the same, heaps fun. Setting up a tarp in the wind was an effort but it kept us dry while we drank and laughed. The storm cam from all four directions of the compass in a very short period of time.
Bobby did the cooking with my help and supervision of cause, we both love to cook a real lot.
